There is an insecurity I have been walking through these past few months. It is the insecurity of walking against the wind. Swimming against the tide. Moving in a direction that feels contrary to the common, proven, and often successful strategies of our time. For me, the wind and tide right now sound like this: “Focus on one thing at a time.” “Don’t spread yourself thin.” “Do one thing with excellence rather than five things with mediocrity.” These are not bad instructions.

The other morning I was sitting on my couch and had drifted off to sleep only to be awakened by these words that I heard in my spirit. I heard the Lord say: “You are seen and heard, you are seen and heard, you are seen and heard. No longer say that no one sees and no one hears!”

Every August, I like to pause and ask the Lord to start speaking to me about the year ahead. I look first toward the Hebrew New Year, which usually falls sometime between September and October (this year it begins September 22, 2025), and then I also ask Him about the coming Gregorian calendar year. Over the years this has become one of my favorite rhythms, because it feels like stepping into a conversation with the Holy Spirit about what’s on His heart for the new season.

While on my jog this morning I was praying and heard the Lord say “pray in the spirit and know that your prayers are arrows that I will direct to hit every target”. So as I prayed in the spirit different people and circumstances came to mind and I noticed the intensity of my prayer language increase and I could see in the spirit this massive dam and the prayers were like missiles hitting the base of the dam over and over and over. Over the past week the Lord has been reminding me of a school play that I was in back in the first grade. At first, the memory of this play came to my mind like a quick flashback then later on I thought more about it and recognized that this wasn’t just a random memory, it was actually the Holy Spirit wanting to show me something.

I was reading the Bible during my quiet time this morning and I came across a passage that caught my attention. In Amos chapter 9 verse 13 it begins with “Behold, the days are coming says the Lord…”

When I consider that it wasn’t giants that kept a generation from crossing over into their inheritance, it was fear and unbelief.

In my prayer time this morning the Lord led me to read in Genesis about Noah. These two verses jumped out at me: And God remembered and thought kindly of Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind blow over the land, and the waters receded.” - Genesis 8:1 AMP

This morning I saw a vision of pioneers walking through a dark and uncharted forest. In front of them I saw a demon with the name arrogance and pride written in red on his forehead.

During my morning time with the Lord I heard him say “Embrace for change”! At first, I thought I heard incorrectly and it was supposed to be “brace yourself for change”, but the Holy Spirit said "no, I’m asking you to 'EMBRACE FOR CHANGE'”.

All will see and all will be touched and moved by what the Lord will release through the “wailing ones”!

The first seven months of 2024 have been nothing short of a wild, crazy, difficult, and amazing ride. Last year (2023) ended with an emergency hospital stay that continued into the new year.

This morning as I was with the Lord, I saw a picture of many people in fear and dread of the future. I heard them say “it is too much, my heart can’t take any more”. I saw them turning away and hiding themselves from the Lord in their attempts to find peace and shield themselves from their fear of further pain.

This morning I heard the Lord say: “Now is the time of the great repositioning. I am setting you in new places, spaces, and territories where I have need of you. This is not the time to lean on, or rely on, your past experiences. I am doing a new thing, an unprecedented work on the earth.

On Saturday, December 23, I woke up in my Chicago hotel ready to return home after a week-long work convention. I got up early and had plenty of time to get ready because my flight wasn’t until 1:40pm that afternoon. My day got off to a great start,

Word from October 14, 2021: I hear the Lord say "it is time for the Procession". Just like when the ocean tides go out (recedes) we have seen many who have fallen away and left their first love. Those that have gone silent and whose lights have been dimmed. Those who have turned away and have become prodigals.
